The Benchmade 177SN Mini SOCP® (Special Operations Combatives Program) Dagger is a compact, purpose-driven fixed blade engineered for discreet carry and rapid deployment. Designed as a scaled-down version of the full-size SOCP® dagger, this model maintains the same tactical philosophy in a more compact 6.3-inch overall package. Built for personal defense and backup applications, the 177SN delivers dependable performance in a lightweight, low-profile platform ideal for everyday carry or professional duty use. The 1.66-inch spear-point blade is crafted from 440C stainless steel, hardened to 58–60 HRC for a balance of edge retention, corrosion resistance, and durability. Its single-edge grind enhances control and complies with regulations in areas restricting double-edged blades. The blade is finished in a Flat Dark Earth (FDE) Cerakote® coating, adding superior resistance to wear, corrosion, and environmental exposure while reducing glare. True to the SOCP® lineage, the skeletonized handle is also constructed from 440C stainless steel, providing exceptional strength in an ultra-slim profile. At just 0.175 inches thick, the handle promotes secure indexing and retention while minimizing bulk. The integrated finger ring and lanyard hole offer enhanced retention and quick access during high-stress situations. Despite its solid steel construction, the knife weighs only 1.81 ounces, making it virtually unnoticeable when carried. The included molded sheath is purpose-built for versatile carry, allowing for both vertical and horizontal deployment.
