One of the defining characteristics of the M21-14SFG is its exclusive Veff Serrations™, developed by renowned knife maker Tom Veff. Unlike traditional serrations, the Veff pattern is specifically engineered to cut aggressively through rope, webbing, heavy cord, straps, and other fibrous materials with remarkable efficiency. Combined with the plain edge section, the knife delivers exceptional versatility across a wide range of cutting tasks. For enhanced safety and reliability, the M21-14SFG incorporates CRKT’s patented AutoLAWKS® safety system. Once the liner lock engages, the AutoLAWKS mechanism automatically activates, effectively converting the folding knife into a virtual fixed blade during use. This added level of lock security is especially appreciated during heavy-duty cutting tasks while still allowing smooth one-handed opening and controlled closing after disengaging the safety. The blade also features Carson’s signature dual flipper design, creating a substantial hand guard when opened to help prevent the user’s hand from sliding forward onto the blade. Ambidextrous thumb studs with textured surfaces provide rapid deployment for both left- and right-handed users. A fully reversible four-position stainless steel pocket clip allows left or right-hand carry in either tip-up or tip-down configurations on belts or web gear, providing flexibility for individual carry preferences. (CRKT recommends against tip-up in-pocket carry for this particular model.)
